Welcome to the GGSA!

The GGSA serves the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, San Francisco, Siskiyou (west of Yreka), Solano (sw of Hwy 12), Sonoma, and Trinity.

GGSA is devoted to providing a place for students from high schools in the above counties to participate in speech and debate competition in varsity, junior varsity and novice divisions.   Through the GGSA, students can qualify to the California High School Speech Association (CHSSA) State Tournament.  Schools may also choose to join the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) and qualify to compete at NSDA Nationals.
